Channel Five’s Roary the Racing Car takes on Silverstone!

Roary at SilverstoneOzzy is bonkers about dinosaurs, diggers and cars. Roary the Racing Car included. I have lost count of the mornings I have spent singing ‘Rooooooary the Racing Car’ in the kitchen after watching it on Channel Five’s Milkshake with Ozzy.

This month we are getting our bottoms into gear, quite literally and heading along to Silverstone Classic. Silverstone Classic, this year powered by The AA, is being held from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd July and Roary will be there providing family fun in celebration of AA World, Britain’s most complete interactive driving experience.

I’ll be taking Queen Scamp and Ozzy along on the Sunday to see, amongst many other things, the Roary the Racing Car stage show. From 10am – 5pm, young visitors will be given the chance to meet Roary and Big Chris in the big top, and cut their racing-driver teeth on an exciting Roary push car inflatable racing track.

Older children (over 12 years or 1.5m in height) can experience free taster driving lessons, hot laps on the Stowe Circuit, an F1 driving simulator, a giant Scalextric racetrack, a Big top and funfair withdodgems and live racing action on the big screen.

There’ll be a Celebrity Challenge Motor Race too including Star Trek’s Patrick Stewart, Brendan Cole (Strictly Come Dancing), soccer legend, Steve Bull, TV presenter Andrew Castle, and a whole lot more. We’ll be cheering on Patrick Stewart!

You can see Roary the Racing Car every morning at 8.30am on Five’s Milkshake! For more information on Roary the Racing Car, please log onto www.roarytheracingcar.com or become a fan on Facebook.

We are lucky enough to be being sent tickets to Silverstone Classic on Sunday 22nd July. We are receiving no payment for this post and our thoughts and Ozzys love of cars are our own
