Counting our Pennies4Piggies

Counting our Pennies4Piggies

For the past few weeks we’ve been collecting all the loose change from around the house and car for DorkyMum‘s blogger fundraiser over on Blog4Charity, saving pennies for Sarah Brown’s charity, PiggyBankKids.

The time is now up to count our pennies, so a very excited Scamp and Ozzy joined me for the big emptying of money jars…

Pile of Pennies

Funnily enough the little monkeys legged it when it came to the mammoth task of counting them all up but I am happy to report that we’ve collected £31.32 to donate to PiggyBankKids.

I’ve got something out of collecting the pennies too – a real sense of pride in my children embracing fundraising. From a fluffy 2p piece from the back of the sofa to a shiny £2 coin (pinched from my purse!) Scamp and Ozzy have posted every single penny into the collecting jars we made. They’ve loved it, and so have I.

Truly simple fundraising, everyone involved has benefited in some way and I’m hoping to make this ‘saving change for charity’ a regular feature on Blog4Chairty following this success, to raise some more money and nurture this little tinkers giving spirit!

Don't forget Ozzy
